Sweet, spicy and exotic, the perfumes call to you with their unique scents. The white-haired old lady, at the yellow tent, smiles and removes a tray of perfume vials. “So which perfume will match your personality? Let’s see, my boy.”\n\nSherri muses softly “Something warm and gentle.”\n\nYou look at the lady in puzzlement. “Silly boy, each personality eez uneeq, different. Just as it has its own aura, it deserves its own perfume. Give me your hand.” \n\nAs she holds your hand, she gasps at its colour. Your hand has always been translucent and white, like shining ivory. \n\n“A mixed blood!” She gasps. “You need to take care child.” Clearly this lady is off her rocker. \n“Let’s get out of here.” Sherri whispers.\nThe fire flares in your direction just then, illuminating your face. “That face! Oldrick is your friend and bodyguard. You are wise to want his company. You walk quietly to Oldrick’s room. It’s dark, but luckily both he and Bumblina are housed near your room, in the East Quarter of the house. \n\nThe light is on in her room, surprisingly. There’s male laughter coming from within. Hmmm…interesting choice. \n\nYou enter the dining hall just in time, as the rest of your family enters too- your father, mother, brother and sister. It’s large and cavernous, almost cold and foreboding, but the smells and sights on the table make up for the harsh enforced discipline that taints the area.\n\nYour father Lord Clanish waits for everyone to be served and then starts his conversation with your brother Charmon. “So son, elections are coming up. You decide not to question Sherri. “Yes, why would they have wanted to miss any of the fun? Tell me about this market.”\n\n“It’s a midnight market, put up by the locals of Centrovia Square. But there she is outside your door, asking you if you want anything, still cheerfully interfering in your life.\n\nSherri presses a final kiss to your lips, as she gets up to leave. “Remember the market.”\n\n“What time is it at?”\n\n“11 pm.”\n\n“WHAAAT?
